Over the last few years Switzerland has become an epicentre of the ICO storm. About two years ago, Vitalik Bouterin rented a house and brought his core team here, and the Ethereum Foundation was founded in the Kanton Zug, in Switzerland. Today we are proud to see many high-profile ICO projects choosing to be established in Zug Crypto Valley, thanks to our well-developed experts’ network, supportive professional infrastructure and stable regulatory environment.
Switzerland is obviously much more than just an ICO hub. Zug Crypto Valley has attracted top minds from the European and international crypto community. Several Bitcoin businesses are established there, for example, Bitcoin custodian Xapo, was one of the early movers from Silicon Valley to Switzerland, citing regulatory advantages.
ICOs have undoubtedly changed forever our understanding of how projects can be funded and structured. The ICO Summit, which will be hosted in Zurich on the 15th September 2017, is set to bring movers and shakers of crypto-funding together: carefully curated program packed with educational sessions, expert opinions, case studies, keynotes and panel discussions has been developed, combined with intense networking opportunities and pitch sessions for startups. In case you are interested to present your project to Swiss and international investors and VC companies – this is your chance.
The VCs specialized in crypto investments, such as Polychain, Outlier Ventures and CoinFund, will be there as well as more traditional VC funds such as UK-based Open Ocean, which recently started to look into the ICO space. Investors are expected to share their insights into how they assess and pick promising ICO projects and rate startups’ pitches.
Leading industry experts and advisors are coming to Zurich from all over the world to share learnings and best practices of successful ICO execution: Michael Terpin, Richard Kastelein and Ransu Salovaara of TokenMarket, Daniel Zakrisson of ICONOMI and Dominik Zynis of Wings, to name a few. Local Crypto Valley veterans represented by Niklas Nikolajsen, CEO of Bitcoin Suisse, and Olga Feldmeier, CEO of SMART VALOR, will join the stage. William Mougayar, a well-known author and blockchain thought leader, will be a Keynote speaker.
In addition to ICO summit, multiple other events will happen in Zurich around this date:
• Crypto 2.0 conference finance20.ch/crypto2017 on the 14thof September featuring a newly founded Swiss Crypto Fund.
• Digital Festival digitalfestival.ch is taking place between the 13th and the 17th of September encompassing tech events, workshops and even a hackathon.
If you consider yourself a seasoned crypto-enthusiast, then Swiss Crypto Valley is the absolute place to be and to be seen; and if you are just beginning your crypto journey – ICO Summit in Zurich will give you a kick start, accelerate your knowledge and take your idea to the next level.
We are very much looking forward to see you in Switzerland on September 15th 2017.
