Are there restrictions for certain countries?
Yes, residents from the following countries cannot have an account on the SMART VALOR exchange:
- Afghanistan
- Algeria
- Bolivia
- Ecuador
- Iran
- Iraq
- Morocco
- Nepal
- North Korea
- North Macedonia
- Pakistan
- Serbia
- Syria
- Uganda
- USA
- Yemen
In addition, citizens of the USA are also restricted from participation. If you have listed that you have dual citizenship, including American citizenship, please reach out to us at support@smartvalor.com.
What is the legal structure of SMART VALOR?
Smart Valor Group (SMART VALOR) comprises three legal entities:
- SMART VALOR AG Switzerland (SMART VALOR CH) is a company incorporated under Swiss Law with its registered office in Zug, Switzerland. SMART VALOR is a Swiss financial intermediary, whose focus is to enable trading in Digital Assets to a wide community.
- SMART VALOR AG Liechtenstein (SMART VALOR LI) is a company incorporated under Liechtenstein Law with its registered office in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. SMART VALOR LI operates the VALOR Platform allowing for trading in digital assets. In addition, SMART VALOR LI offers services for storing digital assets.
- SMART VALOR Services GmbH (SMART VALOR DE) is a company incorporated under German law with its registered office in Munich, Germany. SMART VALOR DE provides and develops the IT infrastructure for the VALOR Platform.

Can I send crypto to another SMART VALOR customer?
Currently, it is not possible to send cryptocurrencies to another Smart Valor customer, due to technical limitations of the blockchain network. If you want to send cryptocurrencies to another account of the Smart Valor exchange, we recommend using a wallet as an intermediate step (e.g. MetaMask, Trust Wallet, or another Exchange), otherwise, the funds can be lost.

Is custody on SMART VALOR safe?
At SMART VALOR, the security of customer assets is of top priority. Our custody provides the highest level of security. We have signed a contract and work closely with the leader in the enterprise-grade digital asset security industry. The main principles are security and insurance. Our contactor regularly performs thorough security tests, invites auditors to review the strict data standards, and creates a unique insurance policy that secures digital assets both in storage and in transit.
Are my funds insured?
Our customers benefit from a unique insurance policy of our custody providers that insures users’ assets, whether they are in storage or in motion. To ensure business continuity in case of an unforeseen incident, the disaster recovery plan of our custody provider consists of hourly backups across multiple layers.
