Fiat means traditional money such as EUR or CHF. SMART VALOR does not offer a general fiat wallet and does not keep fiat money as an available balance in your SMART VALOR account.
Fiat is processed only for a specific transaction: either to pay for a buy order or to send the proceeds to you after you sell crypto. This is called Immediate Settlement.
 

Where can I find payment instructions for a fiat buy order?

There are no standing fiat payment instructions that you can use at any time for your SMART VALOR account.
To pay with fiat, create a buy order first. After you create the buy order, SMART VALOR will show the payment instructions for that order. These instructions include the amount to send, the bank details and the reference information.
Send the exact amount shown in the payment instructions and use the required reference information. After SMART VALOR receives and allocates the payment, the buy order will be executed according to the applicable order terms.
Until the payment is received and allocated, no fiat balance is credited to your SMART VALOR account and the money cannot be used for anything else on the platform.

What should I keep in mind when sending fiat for a buy order?

• Create and confirm the buy order before sending any fiat money.
• Send only the exact amount shown for that buy order.
• Use the reference information shown in the payment instructions.
• Send the payment from a bank account held in your own name, unless SMART VALOR tells you otherwise.
• Do not send fiat money to SMART VALOR without payment instructions for a specific buy order.
• If the amount, reference information or sender details do not match, or if the order has expired, the payment may be delayed, rejected or returned and the buy order may not be executed.

Receiving fiat after selling crypto

How do I receive fiat after I sell crypto?

When you sell supported crypto for fiat, the sale is executed under the Immediate Settlement process.
After the sale, you will be asked to provide or confirm the IBAN or verified bank account in your own name where the fiat proceeds should be sent.
Once the bank account details and required checks are complete, SMART VALOR will initiate the bank transfer to that account. The fiat proceeds are not kept as a fiat balance in your SMART VALOR account.

What should I keep in mind for fiat payouts?
 

• The IBAN or bank account must be correct, verified and held in your own name.
• Incorrect or incomplete bank details may delay or prevent the payout.
• Payouts are subject to your account limits and to compliance checks.
• Due to regulatory, sanctions, anti-money laundering or banking restrictions, SMART VALOR may be unable to process fiat payments or payouts involving certain regions, currencies, banks or payment channels.

Fiat payments for buy orders and fiat payouts after sales are subject to limits based on your verification level. You can see your current limits in your dashboard under the verification level section. Limits may also depend on additional checks, regional rules and payment-provider requirements.

Fiat payments for buy orders

SMART VALOR does not charge a separate fee for receiving a bank transfer for a buy order, unless a fee is shown for the relevant payment method or transaction.
Your bank, payment provider or an intermediary bank may still charge you fees for sending the payment. These external fees are outside SMART VALOR's control.

Before sending a payment, please check whether your bank or payment provider charges fees for the transfer.

Fiat payouts after crypto sales

Fiat payouts to an external bank account may be subject to a payout fee. The applicable fee will be shown before the payout is initiated.
EUR fiat payouts: 0.125% of the payout amount. Minimum payout amount: EUR 100.
CHF fiat payouts: fixed fee of CHF 22 per payout, regardless of the payout amount. Minimum payout amount: CHF 100.

Fiat payments for buy orders

Bank transfers for buy orders usually take up to 1-2 business days to arrive. Your bank may debit the money from your bank account earlier, but SMART VALOR will execute the buy order only after the payment has arrived and has been allocated to the specific order.
No fiat balance is credited to your SMART VALOR account while the payment is on its way.

Fiat payouts after crypto sales

After a crypto-to-fiat sale is executed and you provide or confirm your verified bank account or IBAN, SMART VALOR will initiate the payout. Wire transfers generally complete within 1-2 business days after the payout has been initiated, depending on bank processing times and required checks.
 

Processing times are estimates. Delays may happen due to checks by SMART VALOR, payment providers or banks. If your fiat payment or payout does not arrive within the expected time, please contact support@smartvalor.com.

No. SMART VALOR does not accept fiat for general deposit or storage and does not provide a fiat wallet balance.
